Charley's harmonious vibrations of color, applied in multiple layers, evoke the sensation of a landscape that is playful and alive.
Influenced by the California Colorists, and his formative years growing up in France exposed to the Impressionists and Pointillists, his current work is further informed by the resilience of Nature following the recent wildfires. Charles resides atop Diamond Mountain in the forest above Calistoga, with a panoramic view of Napa Valley.
His work has been exhibited in San Francisco, Washington DC, and recently at Blue Line Arts, The Sofie Contemporary Arts Gallery and Napa Valley Museum.
