Digtial Grange

Digital Grange is the partnership of Bill Kane, Joe McDonald, and their colleagues, designed to serve the creative community by providing a complete range of artist services for the digital creation and final presentation of fine artwork. Together they offer the highest quality photography, digital imaging, archival large format printing, framing/ support systems and graphic design services.

Digital Grange clients include Chronicle Books, the De Young Museum, Imagery Winery, Pixar, Lucas Arts, Antiques Magazine, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Chicago Art Institute, the Corcoran Gallery and McSweeney’s Quarterly & Books among others.

About Us: Located in beautiful Petaluma (north of SF) Digital Grange has been serving our artistic community since 2009. We pride ourselves in the exemplary Photographic, Scanning, Fine Art Printing and Digital Imaging services we provide. We also can supply Mounting, Framing and Stretching services through our associate Hamish of The Edge Gallery.

Scans: Our scans are captured with the Phase One P45 digital back coupled with strobe lighting. Smaller artwork is scanned on our Creo Eversmart Supreme flatbed high resolution scanner with an true optical resolution of 5600 pixels per inch. We custom color profile every capture resulting in incredibly sharp, crystal clear, color accurate scans.

Photography: Joe McDonald, Digital Grange partner and former head photographer for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, has specialized in photographing artwork for over 30 years and has experience capturing every type of artwork imaginable from suits of armor to furniture to paintings to netsuke.

Prints: Custom profiled prints are available in any size up to 60” in width on a variety of archival substrates including Breathing Color, Hahnemuhle, and other fine art papers and canvases. As well we offer prints on a variety of Japanese papers, aluminum and translucent and transparent film.
